Brakes are the one system where guessing is genuinely dangerous, and also the one most often oversold. The honest answer is that pads and discs wear at a measurable rate, and a measurement tells you whether you need work now, at the next service, or not at all. We measure, we show you the number, and we let you decide.

No surprises on the bill
We will not begin work on your braking systems until we have talked you through what it needs and you have agreed to go ahead. If we find something else once we are into the job, we stop and call you before doing anything further. Nothing lands on your bill that you have not approved.
How it works
Book it in
Call the workshop or send the form. Booking costs nothing and you are not committing to any work.
We inspect and photograph
We put the car up and look properly. You get high definition photos of anything we find, so you can see the worn part yourself rather than taking our word for it.
You get a quote
We quote the whole job before a spanner is turned, and we talk you through it. If we find something else once we are in there, we stop and call you before going any further.
We fix it and back it
The work is done by master technicians using parts matched to your car, and covered by our 30 day guarantee.
Shudder is usually not warped discs
A shudder through the pedal gets blamed on warped rotors almost every time. Genuine warping from heat is rare on a road car. Far more often the disc face has picked up an uneven layer of pad material, which changes the effective thickness and feels identical from the driver's seat. That distinction matters, because uneven deposits can sometimes be corrected by machining rather than replacement. We measure disc thickness and runout to find out which one you have.
Pads and discs are not always replaced together
Discs have a minimum thickness stamped by the manufacturer. If yours are above it and the faces are true, new pads on the existing discs is a perfectly sound repair and a much smaller bill. If they are below it, machining them further is not safe and they need replacing. This is a measurement, not an opinion, and we will show you the reading rather than asking you to trust a recommendation.
Brake fluid is the part nobody thinks about
Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air over time. Water lowers the boiling point, and fluid that boils turns to vapour, which compresses. That is the soft pedal people describe after a long descent or heavy braking. It is also invisible, so it gets skipped. Most manufacturers specify a fluid change every two years regardless of distance travelled. We test the moisture content and tell you where yours sits.

Inside the workshop
Not stock photos. This is the Buchanan Road workshop, our hoists and our technicians.
“Pedro and Iury provided a great experience from start to finish. I took my little “Apple Love” there, and even though I don’t know much about cars, they took the time to clearly explain every step of the process, both over WhatsApp and in person at the workshop, which made everything much less stressful and easier to understand. The service was quick, the pricing was fair, and they were also flexible with payment options, which really helped. Professional service, honest communication, and overall a very smooth experience. Definitely a workshop I’d come back to in the future.”
“We have a small car rental company and these legends are caring of our fleet. The workshop definitely have the best car servicing in Brisbane Northside, everything is done with transparency and only made after our approval. Really recommend!”
“Excellent service and quality work. The team was very professional, transparent, and explained everything clearly before carrying out the work. My car was in great condition after the service, and the whole process was quick and efficient. I highly recommend them!”

Common questions
How long do brake pads last?
It depends far more on how and where you drive than on kilometres. Stop and start suburban driving wears pads much faster than open road running. A measurement at each service is the only reliable answer.
Is the grinding noise urgent?
Treat it as urgent. A metallic grind usually means the friction material is gone and metal is contacting the disc, which damages the disc and lengthens your stopping distance. Get it looked at straight away.
Can you just do the front brakes?
Yes, if that is all that needs doing. Fronts do most of the work and usually wear first. We measure all four and only recommend what is actually at or near its limit.
Do you charge to inspect the brakes?
A brake inspection is included when the car is in for a service, and we will always show you the measurements and photos before recommending any work.
Will new brakes fix the ABS light?
Not usually. An ABS warning normally points at a wheel speed sensor, its wiring or the control module rather than the friction components. We diagnose the fault properly instead of replacing parts hoping the light clears.
Do I need to run in new brakes?
Yes, and it matters more than most people expect. New pads and discs need a period of moderate braking to bed the friction material evenly onto the disc face. Hard stops in the first few hundred kilometres can lay down uneven deposits, which is the most common cause of a shudder appearing on a brand new set.
